When the weather starts to change and the storms come in the fall, the birds of prey start appearing in the Glendale estuary. I was seeing this bold little Merlin everyday in the wind and rain, and decided to name it Storm. This particular day there was nothing moving around in the estuary, except for the rain beating down, and then Storm appeared and landed on a branch nest to the skiff. I grabbed my camera and stood in the water in my chest waders with the rain pouring to get a shot of my friend Storm the Merlin.
